Wasserschloss Kottingbrunn

The historical moated castle with its adjacent castle park forms the heart of the market town of Kottingbrunn. Following renovations last year, the castle estate is exuding a new look and is a unique combination of historic treasure and modern architecture. In addition to the local authority and doctors, the moated castle is the site of the castle restaurant “Gerüchteküche”, the Gemeindebücherei, the castle chapel and the community Schlossmuseum in the moated castle.

In the wonderfully renovated rooms of the municipal museum, you can discover exciting details about the history of the castle and the location. The moated castle is also a popular wedding location. The historic rooms, such as the castle chapel, the stone chamber and inner courtyard provide a unique atmosphere.

The cultural scene is also located in the castle estate which is known outside of Austria for a popular, diverse cultural programme and the famous artists attract many visitors from the entire region. One of the highlights is the annual “Advent in the moated castle”, as well as the Easter market, which also takes place in the cultural workshop.
