A hike to the smallest district of Bad Vöslau, the tranquil wine village of Großau, is also worthwhile. The path leads past the Gainfarn music school/castle and then takes you first slightly downhill and later only gently uphill on a flat stretch towards Großau. On this route you are in the middle of the Gainfarn bay and pass the Lindenberg. The skeleton of a manatee was found on the slope of the Lindenberg in 2006 and can now be admired in the town museum. The loop takes you past the vineyards and allows you to see Bad Vöslau and the Harzberg from the other side. We recommend a visit to a wine tavern in Großau. On the way back to Bad Vöslau, you can make a detour to the Capitulare Gardens at Gainfarn Castle. This garden complex corresponds to the historical specifications of Charlemagne from the year 812.
