Description
The St. Corona route is a family-friendly circular mountain bike tour in the Vienna Woods. The route offers several scenic highlights, including the picturesque villages of St. Corona and Klein-Mariazell, which are known for their historic churches. The route runs through varied landscapes with dense forests and open fields, which always offer beautiful views and are suitable for both families and leisure cyclists.
- safety instructions Before every ride, check the functionality of brakes, tires, and suspension fork/damper. Always ride with hazard awareness and controlled speed and adjust the route choice to the group's riding skills and the terrain. The Fair Play rules must always be observed. Single/shared trails as well as built paths in trail parks and trail centers often have stones, roots, steep sections, steps, and sharp corners that require a certain riding skill. In case of doubt, simply dismount and push the bike.
- Equipment A safe and functional mountain bike is a prerequisite for all routes. Helmet and gloves protect in case of falls and can be supplemented by knee and elbow protectors on single/shared trails. A modern mountain bike with disc brakes and sufficient tire tread is recommended. For single and shared trails from the red difficulty level, a fully suspended bike with modern geometry is recommended. Tools, tire levers, pump, and spare tube help in case of a breakdown. Sufficient provisions (drinks and food) should be carried along with a mobile phone and wind/rain jacket.
