The near-natural municipality of Mitterndorf an der Fischa in the district of Baden is located in the Mitterndorfer Senke - a sand and gravel trough in the Vienna Basin formed during the Ice Age. The Fischa river flows through the municipality. Mittendorf was first mentioned in a document in 1160 and has been an independent parish since 1773. Today, a successful mix of rural and urban character is what makes the village so attractive.

Sights in Mitterndorf an der Fischa
The parish church of St. Katharina dates back to 1775. The baroque church was built on the foundation walls of an original early Gothic building. Also worth seeing are the war memorial on the forecourt of the church, the stone cross from 1867 and the Trinity Column from 1853.
