Route description From Klein-Mariazell in the Wienerwald to Altenmarkt
Our hike starts at the bus stop Klein Mariazell Abzweigung. From the bus stop we follow the signs towards the Klein-Mariazell Basilica to the north until we turn right onto the Leopold path. We follow the path and reach the basilica. We choose the right path in front of the basilica past the parking lot and follow the signs of the Via Sacra uphill. We reach the panorama circular path (right) and pass the Hüber cross to the red-marked path towards Hafnerberg. After a short break at the Druid stone, we walk downhill along the stations of the cross to the church at Hafnerberg. From there, we follow the signs toward Neuhaus, until we pass the inn "Zum Kleinen Semmering" and take the first side alley on the right. At the end of the alley, we reach a forest path which we first follow left and then straight downhill (red). We reach the Nöstach federal road, cross it and continue our way to Altenmarkt an der Triesting following the markings.
