Equipment

A safe and functional mountain bike is a prerequisite for all routes. Helmet and gloves protect during falls and can be supplemented on single/shared trails by knee and elbow protectors. A modern mountain bike with disc brakes and sufficient tire tread is recommended. For single and shared trails from the red difficulty level, a full-suspension bike with modern geometry is recommended. Tools, tire levers, pump, and spare tube help in the event of a breakdown. Enough provisions (drinks and food) should also be carried along as well as mobile phone and wind/rain jacket.

Safety information

Check the functionality of brakes, tires, and suspension fork/damper before every ride. Always ride with hazard awareness and controlled speed, and adjust the route choice to the skill level of the group and the terrain. The Fair Play rules must be observed at all times. Single/shared trails and built routes in trail parks and trail centers feature more stones, roots, steep sections, steps, and sharp turns that require specific riding skills. When in doubt, simply dismount and push your bike.
