The Falkensteinerhütte, which is one of the oldest buildings in the Schöpfl area, is located on the eastern slope of the elongated "Hasenriegel" or "Hasenriedl" mountain ridge.

• Opening hours: Saturday, Sunday & public holidays
• Sleeping places: 22 (mostly mattress dormitories)
• Cuisine: hot and cold dishes, home cooking and homemade pastries, fine beers, good wines, house coffee and refreshing soft drinks
• Celebrations: for birthdays, family celebrations, etc. please make a reservation by telephone on 02774/72936 or 0664/220 88 28. For event information please call 0676 968 31 16 from 10:00 - 18:00.

A N F A H R T - Falkensteinerhütte

• Highway A1
  at the Steinhäusl junction change to the A21 (Vienna/Graz)
• Freeway A2
  at the junction Mödling SCS / Vösendorf / Brunn change to the A21 (St.Pölten/Linz)
  At the Hochstrass junction (3), take the first exit on the right at the traffic circle, then continue for approx. 200m parallel to the highway exit (parking available) until you enter Hochstrass (walking time 1 h)
  THEREIS NO PARKING AVAILABILITY - so it is best to park your vehicle here!
• Continue left (under the highway bridge), the paved road leads into a forest road after approx. 1.2 km, - from here at the latest a general driving ban! Few parking possibilities (partly private land of various forestry companies!)

Ascent possibilities

• Hochstrass approx. 1¼ h via 04 (404) in the direction of Schöpfl
• Eichgraben approx. 2½ h via red-blue-yellow to Hasenriegel, then 04 (404) towards Schöpfl
• Innermanzing approx. 1½ h via yellow to Schlottleiten
• Altlengbach approx. 3 h via red to the first fork with 04, then 04 towards Hochstrass
• Laaben approx. 2½ h via 04 towards Schöpfl, then continue towards Hochstrass
• Forsthof approx. 1½ h via red to Hametsberg, then 04 towards Hochstrass
• Kl.-Leopoldsdorf approx. 2½ h via red to Kleinkrottenbach, then red-blue-yellow to Hasenriegel, then 04 towards Schöpfl
