An insider tip for stargazers!
Stargazing in the oldest observatory in Lower Austria. The telescopes and telescopes at the Traiskirchen Observatory invite you on a journey into the infinite vastness of the universe. For a free donation, visitors can take a look at the sky and discover planets, nebulae, stars and moons during guided tours. Sun tours take place on the first Sunday of every month at 10.30 am. During the evening tours, which take place every Monday from 8 pm, children and adults observe what the night sky has to offer, from nebulae and star clusters to the moon and planets. The tours also take place in bad weather, but unfortunately sky observations are then not possible. In addition to the regular service, guided tours are also available by appointment for groups of four or more. Special tours take place during special events, such as a lunar eclipse.
