Museum Franzensburg
Castle, Museum
Description
The Franzensburg is considered the crowning glory of the garden design of the so-called "Rittergau" in Laxenburg Palace Park. It bears witness to the idea of romantic historicism and is not without good reason considered to be "Austria's little treasure house".
During your visit to Laxenburg Castle Park, experience Franzensburg Castle, which was built as a "garden house in the old German style" from 1798 - 1801 and is an incomparable monument to romantic classicism in Austria as the "little treasure house of Austria".
Our castle guides are specially trained for guided tours for children and young people of all ages! When registering for a guided tour, please let us know whether, for example, kindergarten, school, pensioners or a specific interest group will be our guests at Franzensburg Castle. For safety reasons, the Franzensburg Museum can only be visited with a guide.
All information about guided tours and opening hours can be found here!
