Description

The Secession is an exhibition house for contemporary art that is unique in the history of modernism. The building was constructed in 1898 according to plans by Joseph Maria Olbrich and is considered the most important example of Austrian Art Nouveau architecture. In addition to exhibitions of international contemporary art, Gustav Klimt's "Beethoven Frieze" is on permanent display.

Bicycle
If you like cycling, the Wiental cycle path leads right past the entrance to the Secession.
