The Hannes Hofer winery is not loud and flashy and likes to stay in the background, just like the family. The focus is on the wines, which impress with their clarity and diversity. Hannes Hofer is committed to a long-term, sustainable and more elaborate approach in the vineyard, which gives the vines time and support in a natural way, and in vinification. The focus is clearly on the indigenous varieties - Rotgipfler and Zierfandler. The traditional, the special and, above all, the constant, which we miss so much in our fast-paced times, can be found in Gumpoldskirchen in the vineyards, at the wine tavern or in the small guest house of the Hannes Hofer family.
It is important to us to uphold and cultivate the traditional wine tavern culture of our region. We mainly offer cold dishes at the buffet, but also oven-fresh roasts and fresh salads. Choose yourself or let us put something together for you - you can only be right. Homemade and regional products from Austria are a matter of course for us.
A good down-to-earth snack, an excellent glass of wine and a cozy atmosphere at the wine tavern - the Austrians' favorite evening activity, officially since 1784 - and a matter of the heart for us to continue this tradition.
