Cinema Paradiso Baden

Movie theater

Description

The Cinema Paradiso Baden, or Beethovenkino Baden, has a long history. The Beethovenkino was officially opened in 1927 and was a meeting place for cineastes and film lovers. The cinema closed its doors in 2013, but thanks to the cooperation with the state of Lower Austria, the city of Baden and Erwin Schmidt, the cinema tradition was able to continue. Today, the main focus is on arthouse, family and youth cinema, which offers its guests top-class films in two state-of-the-art auditoriums. There is also a varied live program with concerts, readings, lectures and discussions.

The ground-floor auditorium 1 with the characteristic Beethoven head offers 166 seats with generous row spacing. Hall 2 is located on the first floor and has 156 seats. With its strongly ascending row arrangement, it is also ideally suited for readings, lectures or seminars.
