Description

The reception building at Kritzendorf station in the town of the same name in the Lower Austrian municipality of Klosterneuburg features the corner ashlars typical of Austria's railway stations, and the two structurally separate platforms can be reached via a recently renovated bridge. The heated waiting room and the publicly accessible sanitary facilities are located inside.

More than 115 parking spaces for cars and automobiles make it easy to transfer to the train, and space has been created for nearly 100 bicycles in the covered Bike & Ride Station.

Line connection

  • The Kritzendorf stop is on the route of the Franz-Josefs-Bahn.
  • Trains to Tulln an der Donau as well as to Franz Josefs Bahnhof in Vienna stop here.
  • Furthermore trains to St. Pölten are served.
  • Bus connections to Klosterneuburg, Höflein an der Donau and Tulln an der Donau are also available on site.

At the crossing

The extensive Danube cycle path also offers the possibility to ascend near the station Kritzendorf. Along the "Durchstich" - a canal of the Danube created at the beginning of the 19th century - and the alluvial forest strip created in the process, it is particularly easy to cycle. The immediate proximity to the calming element of water offers many a resting place to relax and collect unforgettable moments in the heart of Lower Austria.
