Münchendorf train station

Modern, bright and barrier-free throughout - since the revitalization of Münchendorf station in the municipality of the same name in the Vienna Basin in Lower Austria at the end of 2019, the station has shone in new splendour. Glazed waiting areas, lifts and modern train destination and connection displays are just some of the new features that promise rail passengers a pleasant stay in Münchendorf.

During the renovation, the focus was also on ecology with the implementation of structural protection measures for local wildlife. The crossing aids and culverts, which were created as part of the renovation, proved their worth after just a short time.

Almost 50 cars and mopeds can be parked in the parking lot, and 75 bicycles can be parked in the covered Bike & Ride station on site.

Route information

The Münchendorf stop is on the Pottendorf line.

• Trains on the S60 stop on their way to Wiener Neustadt.
• The S60 trains to the main station in Vienna are also served.
• Connecting buses to Eisenstadt, Fischamend and Mörbisch am See are offered at the local bus stop.

An AST collection point with the destination Münchendorf Birkensee and Guntramsdorf Lokalbahn is located directly at the station.

Summer & Garden Tour

The tranquil municipality of Münchendorf is located on the route of the circular cycle route for the Summer & Garden Tour from Baden via Pfaffstätten, Leobersdorf, Bad Vöslau and back and does not miss out on any garden delicacies along the entire route of around 54 kilometers. You cycle along the vineyard cycle path, the thermal spa cycle path and a visit to Laxenburg Palace Gardens, Empress Maria Theresa's favorite residence, is also included. While we are still sweating along the Wiener Neustadt Canal, we look forward to cooling off in the Vöslau thermal baths - this route is guaranteed to leave nothing to be desired.
