Station Hennersdorf
Train stationDescription
Large and modern - this is how the Hennersdorf train station in the Lower Austrian district of Mödling presents itself. The municipality borders directly on Vienna and is therefore well connected to the capital's extensive infrastructure, despite the view of the expansive landscapes of eastern Lower Austria. The station building at the Hennersdorf stop was extensively renovated in 2019 and even won the international "BigSee Award 2020" architecture prize thanks to its innovative design. The sustainable design of the building goes hand in hand with the barrier-free access and lift facilities, as well as the use of contemporary elements such as digital train destination displays and ticket machines. The glazed waiting area blends harmoniously into the overall appearance of the station. Consideration was also given to the flora and fauna - crossing aids and wildlife passages for animals were created throughout the facility, which have already had a measurable impact in a short space of time.
Almost 80 parking spaces make it easier for passengers to transfer to the train and the covered Bike & Ride station offers space for more than 90 bicycles.
Tip: From April to mid-November, bikes are available for hire at the nextbike rental station on site. You can find more information on the website or in the nextbike app.
