Description

Wampersdorf station is located just outside the cadastral municipality of Wampersdorf. The two platforms can be reached safely via an underpass and the glazed waiting area promises a beautiful view of the surrounding fields. A ticket machine and publicly accessible sanitary facilities offer a further level of comfort, as do a number of parking spaces and covered parking areas for mopeds and bicycles.

  • Trains on the S60 to Vienna Central Station also stop here.
  • Connecting buses to Ebreichsdorf, Eisenstadt, Vienna and Landegg can be reached directly from the station forecourt.

The glass castle

In half an hour's walk from Wampersdorf station, visitors can not only enjoy the extensive countryside, they can also reach a real museum gem in Lower Austria: the glass castle. Countless unique pieces and an intensive insight into the craftsmanship of glassblowing promise an entertaining visit to the museum building, which houses the largest glass mosaic in Europe.
