Asperhofen
The market town of Asperhofen in the district of Sankt Pölten-Land lies on the edge of the extensive Haspelwald forest. The area was settled as early as the beginning of the 9th century. Today, 20 villages belong to the municipality. The gently rolling hills are ideal for short breaks and family excursions at any time - with relaxed leisure activities, extensive hiking trails and friendly restaurants.
Asperhofen: Hike far & see a lot
The Asperhofen state garden offers a beautiful circular hiking trail for young and old. The half-hour route leads through varied terrain from meadow to flower meadow to forest. Interesting information boards along the way tell visitors exciting facts about flora and fauna - and test their own knowledge. At a height of 254 meters, the Wilhelm-Kisser-Jubiläumswarte towers another 15 meters high - and offers distant views over the idyllic landscape.
Pilgrimage hike through Asperhofen
The Austrian Way of St. James is not only a popular hiking route for pilgrims. One of its sections leads through Asperhofen and Siegersdorf. In addition to a St. James fountain, a self-catering hut awaits pilgrims here.
