Description
Right in the center of Furth is the first farm shop of our hike. The Lechner Kirchenkrenn family sells under the brand MagMan (Magdalena+Manfred) home products from their chickens, cattle, and pigs, as well as delicacies from the garden. After a short section of the Vienna Pilgrimage Route, you cross the beautiful village youth bridge into the forest and hike over a gentle hill to the next stream in Ebeltal. Along the main street, past the Hubertus Chapel, is the farm shop in the large chicken coop of the Schaupp family called "Ebeltaler Delicacies". Tasty free-range eggs, as well as homemade egg liqueur, homemade tractor noodles, and many other products, are available here. A little way back on the road, from the sign "Ebeltal 2," the gravel road to the farm Amöd is taken. Here, especially children’s hearts will be delighted by the sight of horses, goats, and chickens. From there, you return to the valley via field paths and meadows.
In the opposite direction, after an equally short walk, is the Lechner Schaupp family. Schauppi THE COOL ICE CREAM is especially known for the homemade ice cream, yogurt, and other delicacies. The self-service shop is open here from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and delights young and old with melt-in-the-mouth ice cream varieties.

Route description Further farm shop enjoyment hike
The starting point of the family-friendly farm shop enjoyment hike is the car park in Furth, which is located immediately after the town center on the right-hand side. After crossing the state road and passing the parish hall and church, the first farm shop is already in sight on the right. After crossing the Further stream, you can admire the chickens and then the cows of the Lechner-Kirchenkrenn family. The farm shop is located directly on the farm, through the wooden fence on the right side after the entrance. The range is extensive and the farm shop is very lovingly furnished. In summer, there is "refreshing drinking yogurt" as well as various delicacies from the family’s chickens, cattle, and pigs, as well as products from the garden of nature, from spreads to syrups to seasonal pestos. It is advisable to shop only at the end of the circular hike.
Strengthened by yogurt, go a short way back, turn right at the church, pass the kindergarten and gym hall, and a really great playground on the left, straight ahead to the Vienna Pilgrimage Route. Keep right towards Schromenau along the stream, you will see a few nice small houses and magnificent gardens until you come to a beautiful wooden bridge of the rural youth. After crossing the stream, you pass a beautiful farm and a gravel path slightly uphill into the forest.
After a few meters, the forest road leads to the right. However, you always follow the white/yellow/white marking and continue straight ahead in the forest. At the next clearing on the left is a wonderful view of limestone rocks and pine forest.
After a right curve, further uphill, the forest path becomes a bit steeper and you can occasionally already see the first traces of horses. At the next clearing on the left, cows are grazing. Walking along the forest, you pass a large farm.
There, some beehives appear, and from now on you go downhill on a gravel road. From here, you have a wonderful view of meadows and forests.
At the next bend, continue straight into the forest to the barrier. To the left through the gate, you already see the next marking (white/yellow/white), and since the terrain is now a bit difficult, you can also safely walk the road (forest path Seewald) towards Ebeltal as an alternative. Those who chose the forest path now really have to be careful because here the path is most adventurous. Sometimes wider, sometimes narrower and always downhill, you will repeatedly find markings on trees and rocks until you reach the valley through a meadow through the gate to a wooden bridge onto the lightly traveled road.
Here you can cool off briefly in the Ebeltal stream before going along the road to the right heading west.
From there, you hike always along the stream until the road divides. Take the left over the stream and follow the road to the Hubertus Chapel in the forest, which offers a nice stop. Just after the chapel, back on the road, the next destination is in sight. The large building on the left is already the next farm shop "Ebeltaler Delicacies" in the huge chicken coop. At the next junction left and shortly afterward left again to the large chicken coop, you reach the second destination. Behind this is a beautiful view of "Himmelsreith" and the Gaisstein.
In the lovingly furnished farm shop of the Schaupp family, homemade noodles – especially child-friendly tractor noodles – and many other "Ebeltaler Delicacies", especially free-range eggs but also delicious egg liqueur, can be purchased.
Walk a short way back along the road and you will return to the junction at the bridge with the sign "Ebeltal 2," where this time you take the gravel road to the left into the forest.
On the right, a quarry appears, but continue straight always uphill. At the next clearing, a few cows are already waiting along the way, then comes a chicken coop and a storage area for wood. After a right curve, you reach the forest again and continue hiking uphill. The first horses of the 'Amöd' farm of the Tisch family are already in sight, and after a short climb, goat, chicken, and horse stables are reached.
Walking through the farm, you come to a wayside shrine on the left and follow the signpost to Furth with the white/red/white marking downhill to the right again. Many meadows are fenced off for the horses, and the path is partly located between 2 fenced pastures.
Then you reach a very extensive meadow, and the next marking is on a huge, ancient lime tree with a bench to rest. At the latest from here, you enjoy a wonderful view of the idyllic municipality of Furth and the Schönberg and can already hear the church bells ringing.
Further down the meadow, the next white/red/white marking is on a small wooden hut on the left. Shortly afterward, you see on the left the exit to the forest road at the sign "Gaissruck – Kieneck."
Follow the forest road downhill to the right in the direction of Furth and you can already hear the chickens from the first farm shop (MagMan) clucking again. Past the farm cross, you hike down the asphalt road and turn left into the Lechner-Kirchenkrenn family farm shop.
After shopping, you just cross the bridge, pass the church and parish hall, cross the federal highway, and finally arrive again at the parking lot.
