Bühne Baden | Stadttheater Baden and Sommerarena Baden

Description

Bühne Baden with its three venues Stadttheater, Sommerarena and Max-Reinhardt-Foyer is one of the leading theaters in the field of musical entertainment theater.

In 1775, the city built the first theater building on the current site on Theaterplatz. The new theater was built in 1908/09, the plans for which were drawn up by the famous theater architects Hellmer and Fellner.

The summer arena in the Kurpark is inextricably linked to the summer season. Its sliding glass roof, which allows open-air performances, gives it a rare magic even more than 100 years after its opening.

The year-round program includes opera, operetta, musicals, concerts and plays.

The program is complemented by varied events in the Max Reinhardt Foyer and a special children's and youth program.

The Stadttheater and Sommerarena, two listed buildings that are more than a hundred years old, offer a unique historical ambience. The former also houses the Max Reinhardt Foyer, the youngest of the three venues.

With seven music theater productions and around 170 performances per year, the two theaters are among the best in Austria.
