Kaiserbründl
Ponds, lakes and springs
Description
Hidden in the beech leaves of the Vienna Woods near the summit of the Kaiserbrunnberg in Pressbaum lies the popular excursion and hiking destination - the "Kaiserbründl".
The cultural monument can be reached from the village of Pressbaum in about an hour's walk. The trail leads along beautiful forest paths and meadows, past the Josef Schöffel Monument - the savior of the Vienna Woods. Empress Elisabeth enjoyed hiking through the Vienna Woods. On April 23, 1882, she took a break at the source of the Vienna River, whose water she liked so much that she had it brought to Schönbrunn to make her coffee. Since then, the majestically bordered spring has been called "Kaiserbründl". Insider tip: Drink from this spring and you will be gifted with inner beauty!
