Description

Passing through the round-arched gateway leading up to the monastery complex gives you an impressive foretaste of the hours to come. The Klostergasthaus Thallern is located in the middle of the Vienna Woods thermal region, right next to one of Austria's oldest and most traditional wineries, the Freigut Thallern. This vinophile prime location is naturally also reflected in the wine list, which impresses with autochthonous grape varieties such as Rotgipfler and Zierfandler, among others. But Florian Fritz's inn offers more than fine wines. In addition to the tempting tasting menus, the oven-fresh farm duck with red cabbage and napkin dumplings sends guests into raptures. The crispy free-range chicken is also legendary.

From wine and pub culture

Like the regional wine culture, the origin of the house goes far back into the past. For more than 350 years, the Klostergasthof Thallern has been a place of hospitality - and that is exactly how it should remain in the future. The country inn has been carefully renovated over the last few years. Today, with its cosy parlour and guest garden, it is contemporary, combining tradition with modern zeitgeist. At every level, great importance is placed on the use of high-quality basic products - and you can taste, see and feel that.
