Gießhübl

The municipality of Gießhübl in the district of Mödling is in a particularly idyllic location: south of Vienna on the edge of the unique Föhrenberge nature reserve - at 410 meters above sea level. With excellent connections to the city, wonderful walking paths and cozy inns and wine taverns invite you to take a break in the Vienna Woods all year round.

Gießhübl: forest hiking & wine culture
The densely wooded Gießhübl is considered the highest wine village in Lower Austria. The family-friendly municipality is also ideal for hiking and climbing: Behind the Hans-Nemecek-Hut, an extensive "climbing garden" consisting of several rock faces characterizes the landscape. Its pouring walls are a popular training ground for rock climbers of all levels. The route to the Höllensteinhaus - with viewing platform - in Kaltenleutgeben is a great one-hour hike.

Culture & leisure in Gießhübl
