The municipality of Gießhübl in the district of Mödling is in a particularly idyllic location: south of Vienna on the edge of the unique Föhrenberge nature reserve - at 410 meters above sea level. The densely wooded Gießhübl is considered the highest wine village in Lower Austria. The family-friendly municipality is also ideal for hiking and climbing: Behind the Hans-Nemecek-Hut, an extensive "climbing garden" consisting of several rock faces characterizes the landscape. Its pouring walls are a popular training ground for rock climbers of all levels. The route to the Höllensteinhaus - with viewing platform - in Kaltenleutgeben is a great one-hour hike.
