Moosbrunn

The village of Moosbrunn in the district of Bruck an der Leitha is located in the northern Vienna Basin on the Piesting river. The name Moosbrunn refers to the mostly moorland in the area of the Mitterndorfer Senke. The active community is home to a diverse range of clubs and associations. The parish church of St. Lawrence is well worth a visit: the baroque staggered hall with its set-in north tower dates back to 1684. Another special feature is the Moosbrunn transmitter not far from the village - a short-wave transmitter operated by Österreichische Rundfunksender GmbH.

Moosbrunn: sport & leisure
There is always something going on in Moosbrunn thanks to the asphalt curling track, skating rink and beach volleyball court. In addition to a spacious playground on the Schillingerwiese, there is also a great adventure playground at the ice pond. In winter - weather permitting - the pond becomes a free-to-use natural ice rink. A café and two restaurants are friendly meeting places for young and old. There is also plenty on offer for residents and visitors to Moosbrunn with events and wine taverns throughout the year.

Family community Moosbrunn
In November 2019, Moosbrunn was awarded the basic certificate for the "Family-friendly municipality" audit. The aim is to make the municipality even more family, child and senior-friendly.
