Route description Stories from the Vienna Woods. Little Sleuth Route Baden

Starting from Weilburgplatz, we follow marking 40, which leads us past the Rauheneck ruins. After approximately 350 m heading south, we leave path no. 40 to the right and shortly afterwards come to the impressive and also archaeologically interesting Königshöhle, before joining the WWW 04, which takes us back down into the Helenental. Finally, we reach Eigen Villa, where we turn right toward Weilburgplatz and follow the path back to the starting point.

Equipment

Sturdy footwear, water, rain protection

Safety information

Despite the most careful research, there may be unforeseen temporary, medium, or even long-term closures on the trails (e.g., due to forestry closures by landowners). Parking options recommended by us may be private or subject to fees – please pay attention to local signage. Some paths may lead partly or entirely through fee-required businesses/areas (e.g., nature parks or gorges). This is usually explicitly indicated in the description. All information is provided without guarantee, and use of the trails is at your own risk. Any trail closures and notices from hunting and landowners must be observed.

Author's tip

Unfortunately, there are no dining options along the route. However, after the approximately one-hour hike, you can stop by the Gasthof Martinek or Heurigen Zierer.
