Welcome to the Salzstangerlwirt on the Kugelwiese
The "Zur Kugelwiese" inn, also known as the "Salzstanglwirt", has been one of the destinations for air-hungry excursionists in the Vienna Woods Biosphere Reserve since 1926 and we look forward to continuing this tradition.
We would like to spoil you with "Austrian home cooking" - across all provinces - with recipes from mom to great-grandma. The delicious beef goulash "from mom" is just as much a part of the seasonally changing menu as the roast pork or the giant "Buchteln". Of course, fresh salted sticks are also still available.

Location
Our house is situated between the Hinterer Föhrenberg and the Großer Sattel in the Föhrenberge Nature Park. Many hiking trails and mountain bike routes lead past our house. The easiest way to reach us is via the Gießhübel parking lot. The leisurely easy hike on the forest road is 3.2 km long and takes about 50 minutes.
