The wine-growing town of Traiskirchen is situated in the southern Vienna Woods in the Thermenregion and is home to Lower Austria’s oldest observatory, the Franz Kroller Observatory. The Traiskirchen Town Museum is housed in the listed building of the Möllersdorf branch of the former Vöslauer worsted mill and displays extensive collections.
Even beyond the ‘Genißmeile’ (culinary promenade), Traiskirchen offers a varied programme of events – ranging from musical performances and highlights of the calendar to open wine taverns and attractive day-out options.
