Description

Fish you can touch, a labyrinth for naked mole rats, poisonous rattlesnakes and lively jumping mice. The desert house is located at the Hietzing entrance to the zoo and offers many exciting attractions. An adventure trail leads through a 2,000 square meter desert landscape with many fascinating inhabitants. The botanical focus is on cacti and other succulents.

You can take the subway line U4 or streetcar lines 10, 58, 60 or bus lines 51A, 56A, 56B, 58A, 58B to the Hietzing stop. From here you can easily reach the Schönbrunn panorama train and the Wüstenhaus on foot.
