The Gehrer Rudolf winery is a family business that has been based in Baden for generations. It is housed in one of the oldest farmhouses in the town, which dates back to 1570. Since 1950, the Gehrer family has focused exclusively on viticulture. In 2020, wine production was leased to nephew Christian Eitler. In addition to the winery, the family also runs the Café-Beisl 'Matchball' in the Baden sports hall, which opened in 2018.
Wine and gastronomy
Weingut Gehrer Rudolf offers a wide range of wines to choose from on its own wine list. In addition, guests can enjoy a selection of warm sandwiches and coffee specialties in the associated 'Matchball' café-bar. The café also offers a changing weekly menu. The winery also has an event location at Leesdorfer Hauptstraße 43, which can be booked for various events, with or without catering. The Gehrer Rudolf winery and the Café-Beisl 'Matchball' thus offer a combination of traditional viticulture and modern gastronomy.
