Bridging the gap whilst waiting for the ‘Gourmet Mile’

To pass the time until the ‘Genussmeile’ in September, we recommend a visit to the wine taverns in the Thermenregion Vienna Woods, which serve their regional wines and culinary specialities all year round during their ‘Aus’gsteckt’ events in a cosy atmosphere.

The Thermenregion Vienna Woods Gourmet Trail will take place in 2026 over the first two weekends in September and is regarded as a culinary highlight along the 1st Vienna Aqueduct Walking Trail between Mödling and Bad Vöslau.

Anyone wishing to continue the celebrations afterwards can round off the day in style at one of the region’s many designated wine taverns. Thanks to the combination of wine, fine food, walking trails and its proximity to places such as Baden, Mödling and Gumpoldskirchen, the ‘Genussmeile’ can be perfectly combined with a holiday in the Wienerwald.
