Biedermannsdorf: history from then to now
As finds have shown, the area that is now Biedermannsdorf was settled very early on - as early as around 7,000 BC. The village was first mentioned in documents around 1170. Construction of the Wiener Neustadt Canal began at the end of the 18th century - with a branch to a brickworks. Gradually, more brickworks were built. This marked the beginning of the industrialization of the town, which had previously been agricultural. Today, the "Path of the Brick Barons" can be experienced as an exciting cycle tour.
