Reisenberg

The market town of Reisenberg in the district of Baden is located in the Vienna Basin - at the foot of the Goldberg and crossed by the Reisenbach. The municipal area, which runs between the Leitha and Fischa rivers, includes the districts of Wasenbruck, Neu-Reisenberg and the Reisenberg recreation center. With a nature reserve, old lime trees and historical gems everywhere in the landscape, Reisenberg invites you to take a trip or a short break at any time - far away from stress or traffic noise.

Hiking Reisenberg: Praying mantises on the Goldberg
The Goldberg is considered a special jewel of Reisenberg: it is partly a nature reserve - especially its steep southern slope, where rare flowers such as cowbells and mountain lilies thrive. Rare birds such as the whitethroat and insects such as the praying mantis also have their protected home here - between dry grassland and downy oak forests. Archaeological finds from the Latène and Roman periods on the Goldberg bear witness to the early settlement of the area.

Strolling & walking in Reisenberg
The village is characterized by ancient lime trees and valuable monuments, wayside shrines and pillars. The parish church of St. Pankratius with its Romanesque-Gothic core was baroqueized in 1703. The Nepomuk Chapel and the vineyard chapel both date from the second half of the 18th century. And just a stone's throw away are the neighboring communities of Mitterndorf an der Fischa and Gramatneusiedl - with churches worth seeing and the Automobile and Motorcycle Museum Austria.
