Challenging hike - you will spend a good half-day on this route.

Ludwig van Beethoven loved hiking for hours in Bad Vöslau and the surrounding area. Spend a good half-day on this route named after the composer. Start at the spa gardens. After the forest devotion (200 m before you can see the Lausturm), the route takes you uphill past the Kaiserstein, the Schneebergblick viewpoint and the Großvaterbaum natural monument. You can take a deep breath and rest at the Karlsruhe and the magnificent view of Vienna. The first stage of the ascent is the Eiserne Tor, the summit of the Hohe Lindkogel at 834 m above sea level. The route continues steadily downhill along forest paths to the next highlight, the Merkenstein ruins. If you still have some energy left, take the access path to the viewing tower and Türkenbrunnen fountain. Otherwise, continue downhill past the Fieberkreuz. On flat forest and field paths, you pass the Graner Bründl spring, which has largely dried up, and the brick-built rest area at the Beethoven monument, before returning to the starting point in the spa gardens after a short time.
