Enjoy this beautiful, historical tour through Gablitz and experience insights into almost 2,000 years of history.
Discover the municipality of Galbitz and its great history. On this hiking trail/walking path, you can explore some of the sights of Gablitz's local history, such as the Roman burial site, which dates back to the 2nd century, right at the start of the tour or at the starting point. Or the former residence of the philosopher Ferdinand Ebner, after whom an alley was named. Another highlight is Höberbach's stone carving table and the Eigner Haus, officially the oldest house in the municipality, with an inner core from the 16th/17th century.
Sturdy footwear, water, possibly rainwear
We start at the Roman burial sites from the 2nd century and walk along the main street. Then we turn into Klosterweg, which leads us along the Kirchbergsiedling and past the Robinson playground. Finally, we end up on Hauersteigstraße, which we follow for a short distance toward Dreiföhrenpark. After a pleasant and quiet visit to Dreiföhrenpark, we return along Hauersteigstraße left of the Robinson playground. We continue into Kirchengasse until we reach Klosterweg, turn left and follow Ferdinand-Ebner-Gasse up to the Market Municipality of Gablitz.
By bus to the stop "Gablitz Kupetzstraße"
For your hunger, there are also dining options nearby:
Tips for children
Along the way, children can expend energy at various playgrounds, on Klosterweg or Ferdinand-Ebner-Gasse, or at Robinson playground.
