Hiking tour Starting from Laaben main square
From the main square in Laaben, the three paths lead along the ridge to the west after a short climb. Here, wonderful views open up in all directions. Passing romantic individual farmsteads of forest farmers, through wondrous orchards with wild service trees and cornelian cherries, we come to wonderful vantage points and dreamy chapels. The paths are lined with wild service trees as well as raspberry and blackberry bushes. If you are out and about at the right time of year, you can taste your way through a varied berry garden. You can also discover numerous shrines and wayside shrines on the Laabner Elsbeer trails.

We start our tour at the Laaben municipal office heading west, cross the Laabenbach stream and then take the second road on the right. We use the Laabental cycle path for approx. 300 m. We then turn left uphill along a forest and meadow path to the Rotte Pirat. In the middle of the forest, we reach the long-distance hiking trail 04 and follow it until shortly after a farm. On an asphalted goods road, we come back down to the main road, where we turn right towards Brand. In Brand, we turn into Kirchenweg opposite the church and follow it. Past the tennis court and the St. Florian chapel (a lovely resting place), a beautiful, shady path next to the stream leads us back to the village.
