Before every ride, check that the brakes, tires, and suspension fork/shock are in good working order. Always ride with an eye out for hazards and at a controlled speed, and choose a route that suits the group’s riding ability and the terrain. The Fair Playrules must be observed at all times. Single/shared trails, as well as built trails in trail parks and trail centers, often feature rocks, roots, steep sections, steps, and sharp turns that require a certain level of riding skill. If in doubt, simply dismount and walk your bike.

A safe and roadworthy mountain bike is a prerequisite for all routes. A helmet and gloves provide protection in the event of a fall, and knee and elbow pads can be added when riding on single or shared trails. A modern mountain bike with disc brakes and sufficient tire tread is recommended. For single and shared trails rated red difficulty or higher, a full-suspension bike with modern geometry is recommended. Tools, a tire lever, a pump, and a spare tube will help in case of a flat tire. You should also carry enough food and drink, as well as a cell phone and a windbreaker or rain jacket.

From Neustift, we head up Hochfeldstraße and into the forest. After a few meters, we turn left at a large intersection onto a new route and follow the signs. After a few hundred meters of partly steep uphill hiking, the trail levels off at the top, and we rejoin the original route on a beautiful forest path all the way to Brandhäusl. We continue on the road to Baraholz, and after a series of ups and downs, we reach the Gh Luft via Pyrat and Bonleiten. Caution: In the Pyrat area, starting at the intersection of Pyrat Street and Bonleiten Street, there is an approximately 400-meter-long section where you’ll need to push your bike near the Sperhof! Please take note!! After that, the route heads downhill into the Laabental valley, then climbs back up on the other side of the valley to the Gh. Stegermaier, and continues parallel to the Schoderleh route back to Neustift-Innernmanzing.

Take the A1 to the Altlengbach exit; at the roundabout, take the fifth exit onto the B19, and continue on to Innermanzing.
