Description

Along the varied path across meadows and through forests, beautiful views open up again and again. Service trees are scattered along almost the entire trail coming from the Stollberg, with a particularly large number near the hut. The alternative, the Gföhlberg Achter, loops around the Gföhlberg and its little brother Kasberg.
From both sides (Klammhöhe and Stollberg), it takes around 1 hour to reach the Gföhlberghütte.

Getting there Westautobahn A1, exit Altlengbach (Exit 35), roundabout towards Hainfeld into the Laabental L119to Klammhöhe (starting point Klammhöhe) or turn right in Klamm towards Stollberg before, (entry Stollberg, left before the highest elevation of the road)
Public transport By regional train from St. Pölten or Wien West to Neulengbach Markt or Eichgraben/Altlengbach. By ÖBB bus to Laaben/Klamm, stop Klammhöhe
Editor’s tip A special nature experience is offered by a hike in early spring to see the snowdrop bloom – best take the path to the Gföhlberg summit at the crossroads near the bench with the service tree.Especially coming from Stollberg, you will find numerous service trees of various ages, from the service tree school to the "old man" near the Schneeberg view by the Gföhlberg hut.
