A relaxing detour to the Türkenbrunnen and the observation tower near Merkenstein.
Starting at the site of the former Merkenstein Castle, you’ll head toward the Merkenstein observation tower. In this unspoiled natural landscape, after walking a few hundred meters slightly uphill, you’ll pass the turnoff to the Türkenbrunnen and finally reach the observation tower. From here, you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view when the weather is good. After a short rest, take the same path back to rejoin the Beethoven Hiking Trail.
