The "Gasthaus zu den Linden" in Gaaden is now in its fifth generation of family ownership. Katharina Bruckberger’s country inn is therefore steeped in tradition and history. Nestled in the heart of the Vienna Woods, guests can enjoy a dining room dating back to the turn of the century. High-quality Viennese cuisine is served in a rustic atmosphere. Braised beef with potato pancakes, apple horseradish, and a seasonal vegetable side dish has become a staple on the menu. The same goes for the oven-fresh roast pork from straw-fed pigs raised in the Tullnerfeld, which is prepared fresh every Sunday. Speaking of fresh: potatoes, onions, and cabbage are grown by the Ehn family in Perzendorf. Fish come from the Gut Dornau fish farm in Leobersdorf, and game comes directly from the Vienna Woods.

Majestic Linden Trees

You’ve surely noticed. Regional ingredients, seasonal produce, and high-quality standards define the traditional dishes at Gasthaus zu den Linden. Add to that a generous dash of hospitality. The Bruckberger family is particularly proud of their homemade quail egg liqueur. Excellent wines round out the dining experience. The house-made nut schnapps, jams, and pickles are available for purchase directly from the farm. The outdoor dining area is magnificently set against two majestic linden trees. The shade extends deep into every corner of the garden. Beyond that, the Vienna Woods beckon guests to explore. At Sparbach Nature Park, guests can learn more about the local wild boars.

Vegan dishes are also available upon request!
