Wolfsgraben

The Lower Austrian municipality of Wolfsgraben in the district of Sankt Pölten-Land is located in the heart of the Vienna Woods - only around 15 kilometers away from the city of Vienna. The Wolfsgrabenbach stream flows through the natural municipal area. Wolfsgraben is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet as well as vacationers with children for a short - or longer - break in the countryside not far from the city.

Where the eponymous wolves roamed the area in ancient times, idyllic hikes await visitors today. With the Wolfsgraben Regional Sports Club and several sports grounds, the family-friendly community also provides evidence of healthy activity. And of course there is always food, drink and accommodation available in the village.

Hike & discover Wolfsgraben
Numerous well-marked hiking trails lead through the densely wooded surroundings - for example into the Weidlinggraben, along the Wolfsgrabenbach stream to the Wienerwaldsee view or over the Engelkreuz to the Pfalzau. The fairy-tale themed "Hedge" trail breaks down the regional tree and shrub species using fairy tales, rhymes, poems and stories. In addition, signposted mountain bike trails and bridle paths wind their way through the Vienna Woods.
