Dinosaurs? They only existed in prehistoric times! Not here on the Triestinga Cycle Path!
The cycle route leads along the Triesting and is an insider tip for nature-loving families. Passing the old cotton mills, you immerse yourself directly in the mysterious floodplain landscape that has been preserved here along the Triesting. A natural paradise worthy of protection and worth a closer look! Frog concerts, birdsong and numerous, sometimes rare aquatic plants included. A particularly exciting insider tip are the many weirs and fish ladders, from which children can explore the Triesting directly.
Cycling on pays off, as the Triestinga cycle path leads from the mysterious "water forest" directly to Dumba Park in Tattendorf. Here, families can discover another experience with 60 life-size dinosaurs to admire! Right next door, you can marvel at the fluttering of magical giant butterflies in the Butterfly World Tattendorf. If you have enough time, it's worth taking a trip to the Tattendorf climbing park. Here you can admire the giant dinosaurs from above!
... Between water forest and dinosaurs, a cycle tour full of animal surprises!
Rest areas:
There are numerous playgrounds along the cycle path, which also invite you to take a break. Particularly attractive, however, are the many "little places" that offer themselves for a break at the bridges and on the banks directly on the Triesting. Take a break, enjoy and observe is the motto here.
From Leobersdorf, you take the Thermal cycle path south towards Schönau an der Triesting, where you turn left onto the Triesting cycle path! This turnoff and start of the Triesting cycle path are well signposted. Then you continue along the Triesting cycle path to Trumau. From there back to Leobersdorf. The route is paved.
The Triesting cycle path is consistently signposted, as is the section at Leobersdorf of the Thermal cycle path!
This family route recommendation is a "round-trip" route and can be extended at will via the Thermal cycle path to Baden, for example, or via the Triesting cycle path.
